A Smoke Grenade can be thrown 100ft/30m by the average soldier. The grenade emits a dense cloud of white smoke for 100 to 150 seconds and is used for signaling and evasion. Smoke Grenades also produce harmful hydrochloric fumes that irritate the eyes, throat, and lungs - and should not be used in confined areas.
