After long working months, I have the pleasure to present you the last mission of the [FAR] clan. This project was born almost two years ago on a vague idea of mission staging a group of players having no impression to operate alone.
The adventure is accompanied with musics, with radio voices and with cutscenes to strengthen the atmosphere and the dumping of the players. Contrary to 'OFP', the engine of 'ArmA' allows to stage numerous groups of units with few of lag. He is not right there thus to refrain himself from massive battles with check numbers of units. To arrive at my purposes, I have of a lot learn in the edition of missions for 'ArmA' in spite of my good bases on 'OFP'. And during it, the scenario of 'A LONG DAY' has grew. I found in the movie 'JARHEAD' a musical theme sticking perfectly on my project besides a supplementary inspiration. The sound atmosphere in 'A LONG DAY' is abundantly supplied. Being refused to me to constitute a music addon pack, the size of the file mission remains rather consequent. I thus advise to reserve this mission for the private servers and not to download it from this last one. The mission is specially designed for the dedicated servers.

hello gentlemen,

Tested with a friend 1 minute and already two important problems to report:

1_ Fireteam leader (slot 2) spawn far away from the base after intro ?!
I see the UH-60 while the intro, I am supposed to be inside, and to be dropped into the base to get in the truck to be driven to Geraldo...
But I spawn 1 kilometer away from that base, away from the leader (slot 1 with a human player inside) ?
How bizarre if I have to get in the truck to be driven to Geraldo ?

2_ Plus, I spawn away from mission scenario, alone, with the "head bug".
You know, the bug you can only move your head instead of your character ?

So, mission is not playable as it.

But it is a promising mission if next version runs correctly.

The mission must be launch on dedicated server, if the problem appear again do a "#missions" and restart the mission ;)

Why not make it for the ACE mod?
ACE mod has most units and other neat features included so no problems with downloading tons of addons.... :p  :D

Because if you make it with ACE features, you must play it with ACE.
But, if you make that excellent mission with original ArmA, kind of "neutral" mission, everybody can play it; even with other mods such your precious ACE.

To conclude, if you love ACE mod so much, you should consider lot of people are realy not interested with it.

But the subject is for: A Long Day.
You know, the subject, what you should keep close to according forum rules (read §5 specialy).
So, may I suggest you to play that immersive and enjoyable mission, you will have a very good time, trust me.

I don't have yet put an eye on ACE Mod and it's amount of features included, but a future ACE version is possible ;)
